In 1939, at the age of 18, Erich Brodheim arrived in Lisbon from Austria, determined to introduce an innovative business to the retail sector. He entered the Portuguese market by importing the zipper, a product he had discovered in a foreign magazine and sourced from the United States to introduce in Portugal. This marked the foundation of Erich Brodheim, Lda., beginning a journey of sustained growth and market leadership.

On 1 May 2025, the Brodheim Group entered a new chapter in its history with the transition of its executive leadership. Ronald Brodheim stepped down as CEO, passing the role to Erich Brodheim and ensuring the continuity of family leadership while strengthening the Group's long-term, multigenerational vision. Ronald Brodheim continues to serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
This new leadership structure reinforces the Brodheim Group's commitment to innovation, sustainability, and excellence, positioning the company to meet future challenges while continuing to strengthen its position as a leading reference in the Portuguese market.
Erich Brodheim is the current CEO of the Brodheim Group, working alongside Ronald Brodheim in his active role as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Optivisão, which is also integrated in the Brodheim Group, was established 30 years ago. Optivisão is focusing in the prevention and correction of visual health, always in line the progress of science and technology.

Servisión is a Spanish optical distribution company specialized in the sale of frames and sunglasses in the premium segment. We currently represent the Porsche Design, Charmant, Rodenstock and Esprit brands in the Spanish market.
